Black Bee Honey

Honey is the third most faked food product in the world. But Black Bee Honey do things differently. They offer pure, single-origin, 100% British honey to free market shelves from cheap sugar syrup blends hailing from anonymous sources.

On top of that, 2% of their turnover contributes to creating 1,000 acres of new wildflower meadows, a vital habitat for honey bees and other pollinators.

To support their goal of becoming Britain’s favourite honey brand, we teamed up to create their new strategic positioning – Keep British Honey Wild – and evolve their visual identity.

The new brand aims to free the bee. With a wild set of characters that represent Black Bee Honey’s key values and celebrate the landscapes and seasons in which each honey is produced.

Black Bee Honey now has a rich brand ecosystem connected with nature. From bespoke typefaces inspired by bee’s movement and honey, to a colour palette reflecting British flora and art direction capturing a bee’s ultraviolet vision.
